Rough Trade Nottingham announces Record Store Day 2024 live line-up

In addition to the live lineup, customers will also be able to get their hands on Signature Brew from taps located at the in-store bar.

Nottingham-based independent record store company Rough Trade has announced its live-in store line-ups and collaborations ahead of Record Store Day 2024.

The line-up for this year’s event, which will take place on Saturday, April 20, boasts a diverse mix of artists, established and emerging, including local talent and store favourites, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

From 1 pm to 10 pm, the Broad Street store will host Bristol noise-rockers Heavy Lungs who will play in-store alongside Birmingham psych duo Solar Eyes, with additional performances from a slew of the city’s fastest-rising acts, including Otala, Bloodworm, and Cam Mannix.

In addition to the live lineup, customers will also be able to get their hands on Signature Brew from taps located at the in-store bar.

Sam Allison, Head of events and partnerships at Rough Trade, said: “RSD is something we all look forward to at Rough Trade Nottingham, every year the queue is around the block! We can’t wait to welcome all the artists playing upstairs alongside our regulars and music fans from across the city, as well as those who travel from further afield.

In the run-up to the big day, a prize draw will be launched in aid of Rough Trade’s charity partner, Campaign Against Living Miserably(CALM). For just £5, customers will be in with a chance of winning a fantastic prize package, including a 12-month subscription to Rough Trade Club and one of the best record players on the market: Cambridge Audio’s beautiful Alva TT turntable.

Emily Waller, UK head of brand and content at Rough Trade, said: “Record Store Day is easily one of our favourite days in the Rough Trade calendar due to the vibrant celebratory nature of the event, which continues to grow year after year.

“The diversity of the customers who come through our doors is always expanding, and it’s never more evident than on Record Store Day, a true testament to the importance of community-led events in the independent sector.”
